Maximum Surgical Blood Ordering Schedule in Orthopedic Department at UNAIR Hospital January-June 2021

Excessive ordering of blood components causes problems such as a lack proper distribution products between centers, increased costs, and workload banks. Effective use MSBOS will reduce the cross-match patient samples unnecessary testing. This is also expected way to improve quality health services at UNAIR Hospital treatment costs. study aimed find out profile for orthopedic surgery in period January-June 2021. cross-sectional with sample patients Hospital. The was 6 months (January-June 2021). Cross-match Transfusion Ratio (CTR), transfusion probability, index calculations were carried so that could be formulated. A total 33 units cross-matched from 21 this study, whereas only 5 transfused 4 patients. It found 7 8 types surgeries had CTR value more than 2, low probability (below 30), TI below 0.5. In Total Hip Replacement (THR) ORIF plating symphysis surgery, it recommended 2 MSBOS, while others, Group, Screen, Hold (GSH) recommended. Further research larger needed obtain accurate results.
